HEXAGON SLEEVE ANCHOR

A sleeve anchor is used to attach objects to concrete, brick, or other masonry surfaces. It consists of a cylindrical metal sleeve with a flange at one end and a threaded stud at the other.

To install a sleeve anchor, a hole is first drilled into the masonry surface using a hammer drill. The diameter of the hole should be slightly larger than the sleeve anchor to allow for easy insertion. The sleeve anchor is then inserted into the hole, and the hex flange end is hammered gently with a mallet to set the anchor. Finally, the nut and washer are tightened onto the threaded stud using a wrench or socket, which expands the sleeve and secures the object in place.

Sleeve anchors are commonly used to attach fixtures such as handrails, shelving, and electrical boxes to masonry surfaces. They provide a strong fixing and are available in a variety of sizes and materials, including steel (zinc plated or galvanised) and stainless steel.
