A Brief History...

For over 30 years First Choice Industrial has been a leading distributor of industrial hardware supplies in Melbourne.
 
The business was originally established in 1988 as Luca Engineering Supplies and the name changed to First Choice Industrial Hardware Supplies after the business briefly changed hands in 1995. The business was eventually taken over by R.M. Jarco Pty Ltd in October 1996 and has been managed by Ray Cutajar ever since.

In mid-2001 it was decided to totally rebuild & rejuvenate the business. It was relocated from Airport West to the ever-growing Tullamarine industrial estate in April 2002. Philosophical changes emphasising core values of honesty and integrity were cemented into the business model and a significant investment in inventory and technology was implemented. As a result, the business has grown steadily whilst maintaining its reputation for reliability and excellent customer service. Continually improving and doing things better will ensure that FCI is the First Choice for industrial hardware now and beyond.

What we do ....

We stock, supply and distribute a comprehensive range of engineering consumables including fasteners, tools, safety & welding equipment, abrasives, milling cutters, industrial lubricants, wheels & castors and much, much more. In addition, we also offer a repair service on all commonly available air & power tools. One of our ongoing strengths as a business has been our ability to provide a complete set of industrial support.

We are flexible. Part of our customer service philosophy is about fitting in seamlessly with our customers and this can often mean finding unique solutions for problems. We also avoid strict policies, for instance, just because a part number isn’t on our system doesn’t mean we won’t source it for you!

We can provide a complete range of products and services and have partnerships with virtually all the major industrial suppliers and brands.  We can also organise to have your tools and machinery serviced or repaired.

Our approach is hands on, and we know our customers and their people, always making sure that we provide multiple points of contact so that there is always someone familiar with your business should someone be away or unavailable.
