Product Features
Locking pliers, also known as vise-grips, self grip pliers, or mole wrench, are handheld tools with adjustable jaws that can be locked in position while clamping an object. They also have screws that adjust the plier jaw opening and levers to release the clamping pressure after use. Vise-grips are commonly used in high-torque applications such as loosening tight connections in pipings, removing seized nuts, washers, screws, and broken nails. There are different types of locking jaw pliers available. Straight jaw locking pliers are for general purpose and for holding flat objects while curved jaw locking pliers are suitable for holding round objects. Other locking pliers for special applications include needle nose, U-shape or fork jaw, c-clamp, and sheet metal locking pliers.
