DROP IN ANCHORS

A drop-in anchor is a type of fastener used in construction and engineering applications to secure objects to concrete or other hard surfaces. It is a hollow, cylindrical piece of metal with a threaded interior and a lip at the top, designed to be inserted into a pre-drilled hole in concrete or masonry.

To install a drop-in anchor, a hole is first drilled into the concrete or masonry. The drop-in anchor is then inserted into the hole, and a setting tool is used to drive the anchor down into the concrete until the lip is flush with the surface. Once the anchor is set, a threaded bolt or screw can be inserted and tightened into the anchor, providing a secure attachment point for the object being fastened.

Drop-in anchors are commonly used to secure equipment, machinery, and structures to concrete floors or walls in commercial and industrial settings, as well as in residential construction for things like installing handrails or securing outdoor furniture. They offer a high load capacity and can be easily installed using simple tools.
