CRACK TESTING

Crack detection is a process used to identify cracks or defects in materials or structures, such as metal, ceramics, composites, or concrete. Crack detection can be performed using a variety of non-destructive testing methods, which are designed to identify cracks without causing damage to the material or structure being tested.

Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) method is a technique where a dye is applied to the surface of the material or structure. The dye penetrates any cracks or defects and is then wiped off. A developer is then applied, which draws out the dye and makes any cracks or defects visible.

Overall, crack detection is an important process for ensuring the safety and reliability of materials and structures, particularly in critical applications such as aerospace, nuclear power, and oil and gas industries.
