HEX HEAD BOLTS

​Hexagon head bolts come in a large range of diameters and lengths, often having a plain, unthreaded shank dependant on their length. A very rough rule of thumb is that the thread length of a bolt is approximately twice the diameter plus 6mm (1/4”), however this does vary between manufacturers and also as the bolt length increases. If the thread length is critical to your application, contact us to confirm the exact dimensions available.

First Choice Industrial has one of Australia’s largest ranges of hex bolts available, stocking or having access to a number of finishes including plain or black, brass, nylon, zinc plated, hot dipped galvanised, 304 (A2 70) and 316 (A4 70) stainless steel. Metric coarse and metric fine threads come in commercial class 4.6 as well as various high tensile classes such as class 8.8, class 10.9 and class 12.9. Unified threads in both coarse UNC and fine UNF are available in both grade 5 and grade 8.​
